Our Guidance officer James Bennett is available for appointments regarding school issues, career guidance, subject selection/ changes and confidential personal counselling.
Parents and students are encouraged to make appointments through student services in the administration building.
The Industry Liaison Officer works with the Senior Secondary School Head of Department (HOD) to support students who wish to undertake school based traineeships and apprenticeships. Please contact Melanie White and/or Geoff Howe.
The international coordinator supports International students in the following areas: curriculum, home stays and general welfare. Appointments with any international admin staff can may be made through the international department.
Ms Lisa Ellwood assists students with a disability (as identified through the Education Adjustment Process).
Each student will be allocated to a home group. Home group teachers meet with students each morning to register attendance, communicate daily routine information and generally monitor student attendance, uniform and welfare.
Each year level has a dean who has broad student monitoring responsibilities. Deans monitor attendance, standards of uniform and behaviour and generally provide for the welfare of the students of that year level.
Our Indigenous Youth Support Officer works at the school to assist students of indigenous descent to support their attendance and achievement at school. Additional courses are run to support students health and well being, cultural background and preparation for life beyond school.
Online support for parents of disengaging youthThe Spark their Future website is a great resource for parents of teenagers who are struggling at staying engaged in school or learning. Its magazine style makes it an easily accessible site, which is regularly updated with plenty of practical ideas, tips and advice for parents.
