Become a homestay provider for Keebra Park State High School’s
International students.
Keebra Park State High School enrols international students from
various countries and as part of our responsibilities as the host school, we
are required to provide homestay accommodation for these students. We invite
families who are caring and eager to engage in a cultural exchange experience
to express their interest in becoming a homestay provider. Homestay provider
should be a welcoming and caring family who are willing to provide a safe and friendly
environment for our international visitors for the duration of their stay.
Successful families will be invited to host students upon their arrival; these
families will receive weekly payments for the entire duration of the student's stay.
To be a host family you will need to:
- Have a visit and home inspection to ensure that cleanliness,
appropriate furnishings and facilities are in place.
- Complete an orientation program at the school.
- Agree to ongoing reviews of the hosting experience.
- Have a Suitability Card issued by the Commission for Children and Young
People. This card shows that the host does not have an Australian criminal
history and ensures a safe environment for our students.
Please email us at International@keebraparkshs.eq.edu.au or phone us on
07 5509 2555 if you are interested in supporting Keebra Park State High School's
International program.
