​​The STEM program at Keebra Park is an integration of industrial design and manufacturing, digital solutions, Science and Mathematics.

With a major focus on Robotics, Arduino (a small computer in all "smart" devices) and Hydraulic systems.

The World of LEGO robots & the design process

This part of the program examines:

  • ​The design processes

  • Robotics using LEGO

  • Learning to program in various languages

  • Robot challenges

Autonomous Driving in Environments

In this selection students:

  • Create scenarios and environments

  • Examine challenges of the environment within robotics restrictions

  • Create designed solutions using the design process

  • Learn to using the Aspire software to develop a CAD model to be used by the schools CNC machine to help in the manufacturing process

  • Manufacture the environment in a workshop utilising plastics, timber and other materials

  • Test, evaluate and refine their designed solutions

  • Participate in the Gala Robot challenge

Hydraulics

In this section students: 

  • Develop an understanding of what hydraulics are and how they function in our society

  • Design hydraulic solutions for specific situations

  • Analysis situations where hydraulics can be utilised to improve efficiency

  • Create the designed solution using the design process

  • se various software to develop CAD model for the hydraulic system

  • Manufacture the hydraulic system in a workshop utilising plastics, timber, metal, fluids and other materials

  • Test, evaluate and refine the designed solutions​​

  • Automate the hydraulic system using robots

  • Participate in the Gala Hydraulic Challenge
