The Senior Curriculum
Subjects Studied in Year 11 and 12 are monitored by the QCAA (Queensland Curriculum & Assessment Authority). All subjects offered at the school must be registered with the QCAA.
Authority Subjects are those which contribute to a student’s OP (Overall Position) in Year 12, Authority-Registered subjects are those which do not contribute to an OP and Vocational Certificates maybe studied at Keebra Park State High School. Details of these subjects can be found in the Senior Phase Curriculum document.
Senior Subject Selection
Students in year 10 are required to select the subjects that wish to study during Years 11 and 12. This process involves completing a Senior Education and Training Plan that outlines their future career goals and study plans. Students attend a subject selection evening and completing a subject preference sheet according to the subject lines available.
An interview process with parents is conducted to ensure students are making the best possible choices for their future career options.
