Intensive english centre (IEC)

The IEC is a vibrant and engaging learning space which caters for students from non-English speaking backgrounds from 11 to 17 years of age.

There are four full time classes that are taught by dedicated experienced English As an Additional Language/Dialect (EAL/D) Teachers.

Level 1: Beginners – New to English

Level 2: Post Beginners – Emerging English

Level 3: Pre- Intermediate – Developing English

Level 4: Intermediate – Consolidating English

Students transition to mainstream when they reach minimum Bandscale 4 in reading, writing, listening and speaking and they have reached at least 80% in Maths and English Progressive Achievement Tests (PAT).
