Care
and Support
Keebra Park State High School prides itself in the exceptional care and support it provides. Our learning environment is welcoming, friendly and disciplined. There is one school rule “DO THE RIGHT THING”. This one school rule forms the base for our Behaviour Management Policy and students who regularly follow the school rule are rewarded. The support personnel include Year Coordinators for each year level, Behaviour support teacher, a Guidance Officer, Classroom Teachers, Heads of Departments, a School Nurse, a Youth Support Co-ordinator, a Youth Pathways Officer and the school Administration team. Parent involvement in all aspects of the school is encouraged and greatly appreciated. The IGNITE Program promotes friendliness and support through student involvement. Year 11 potential leaders are trained by Year Coordinators to assist Year 8 students to make the transition from Primary school to Secondary school as easy as possible. In the playground these Year 11 students become special friends, during IGNITE lessons they become facilitators of activities designed to understand adolescent life at school. |
